Saint Benedict Square
Eye-catching sights of Norcia, Italy can now be viewed in real time through Livewebcam.cam’s live broadcast of Saint Benedict Square (Piazza San Benedetto)! Installed on the Museum of Castellina building, the camera offers an up-close glimpse of the St. Benedict monument, situated at Piazza’s center. Also visible to the right is the Monastery of St. Benedict, the Roman-originated structure destroyed by a devastating earthquake in October 2016. This sacred abbey was erected in the 13th century and is dedicated to the twin saints Benedict and Scholastic. The facility boasts Gothic style facade, embellished with a central pink window and four evangelists relief sculpting. Soul-stirring interior adorns Michelangelo Carducci fresco of the Resurrection of Lazarus from 1560.
